Kreider appointed new director of County Business Hall of Fame

BOULDER – Fred Kreider of Louisville has been appointed as director of The Boulder County Business Hall of Fame.

Kreider will oversee operations of the Hall of Fame and lead fundraising efforts for the nonprofit organization. The Hall of Fame, moving into its 14th year of recognizing county business leaders, is housed at the Millennium Harvest House Hotel in Boulder.

Plaques describing each inductee are displayed at the hotel. Nearly 100 individuals, couples and families have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since its beginning.

“It’s a very positive experience for me to be involved with a group that recognizes and affirms people who have achieved excellence in the business community,” Kreider said.

Kreider is helping the Hall of Fame prepare for its next induction ceremony on May 5, 2006. He also will help the board plan for additional projects and programs to spotlight business contributions.

Kreider has lived in Colorado since 1993 when he and his wife, Debby, moved to Louisville. Debby works for Amgen in Longmont, and Kreider operates Cycle Matters, an Internet company that markets itself to motorcycle enthusiasts.

The Business Hall of Fame presently is seeking nominations for its 14th annual luncheon event.
The Hall of Fame’s board accepts nominations of individuals who have been instrumental through business-related efforts, in providing direction, energy and support to the shaping of Boulder County since its inception.

The business-related efforts should have resulted in communitywide economic, social, cultural, political and/or religious benefits that not only had an immediate positive impact on the community and its citizens, but an impact that will be evident in decades to come.
A nomination form is available by calling Fred Kreider at (303) 229-3582 or from Nuri Hartley at the Millennium at (303) 443-3850.
