New West Bank plans Eaton branch office

EATON – Officials with Greeley-based New West Banks of Colorado Inc. said they plan to open a new branch in Eaton. The branch will likely open in early 2005.
The bank has a one-acre site at the corner of Collins Street and South Elm Avenue under contract.
“We believe that Eaton is a great fit for New West Bank,´ said Leroy Leavitt, New West Bank president. “Eaton has a growing number of small businesses and a steadily increasing population base. New West Bank’s management believes that a successful bank must have a local culture where the bank’s roots are planted firmly in community involvement with local decision-making.”
Leavitt said Tim Croissant will be president of the new branch when it opens.
Eaton currently has only one bank, Centennial Bank of the West, but Farmers Bank of Ault and Bank of Colorado have both looked at entering the marketplace.
“When we looked at the population and the number of banks going in, we just decided to stay home,´ said Fred Bauer, Farmers Bank president.
