CDOT?s Norton speaker for 2004 Growth Summit

FORT COLLINS — Many economists are predicting that the national and state economies will get back on track this year, heralding the return of another strong year of growth in Northern Colorado.
That?s good news for business in the region, and The Northern Colorado Business Report is hosting its annual ?Northern Colorado Growth Summit? on May 25 to deliver the details on what can be expected in transportation, higher education, real estate and development, new regional malls, economic development plans and economic sustainability.
?Northern Colorado continues to grow at a rapid pace, and managing that growth is of key importance,? said Jeff Nuttall, Business Report co-publisher. ? We?re getting folks representing different positions to come forward to say their piece. With all the different panels, I think we?ve got everything pretty well covered in terms of economic development.?
Tom Norton, executive director of the Colorado Department of Transportation, will be the keynote breakfast speaker for this year?s event. Panel members at the event include State Rep. Angie Paccione, D-Fort Collins; Colorado State University President Larry Penley; John Fischbach, Fort Collins city manager; Robert Grieve, CEO of Heska Corp.; and David May, president of the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce..
The event will be held at the Fort Collins Marriott, 350 E. Foothills Parkway. It begins at 7:30 a.m. with registration and a continental breakfast. Following is the panel schedule:
