CSU, cities of Fort Collins and Greeley named best commuter workplaces

DENVER – The Colorado’s Best Workplaces for Commuters Coalition released its list of 151 Colorado employers that qualified for the Environmental Protection Agency’s first annual list of Colorado’s Best Workplaces for Commuters.

Colorado State University parking services, the city of Fort Collins and the city of Greeley were all recognized for providing commuter benefits.

To qualify for the list, organizations must provide at least one primary commuter benefit, which can include a monthly transit/vanpool pass subsidy, cash in lieu of free parking or a significant telecommuting program. The organization must also provide at least three supporting commuter benefits such as lockers/showers for bikers or walkers, incentives for living near work or onsite amenities such as day care or dry cleaning.

Colorado’s Best Workplaces for Commuters Coalition is a group consisting of Colorado business, transportation, human resource and environmental organizations.
