Denver chamber plans expanded conference

DENVER — The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the organizers of the Colorado Garden and Home Show and event-marketing agency Creative Strategies Group to produce the Colorado Business Conference and Trade Show, scheduled for May 6.

Christine Power Bain, vice president of communications and events for the Denver metro chamber, said the new partnership would boost the operation of the Colorado Business Show, which will replace the chamber’s annual two-day Business Expo.

The Colorado Business Show will be a one-day event at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Power Bain said the change from a two-day event was prompted by feedback from small businesses that found staffing a two-day event to be difficult.

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.

The event, which also moved from April to May to coincide with the recognition of Small Business Month, will include a keynote breakfast, a professional development conference, a number of special events and trade show exhibits.

The chamber’s annual Business Awards Luncheon, co-hosted with the U.S. Small Business Administration, also will be a featured event.

The College of Business at Johnson and Wales University will sponsor the professional development conference, which will feature a series of seminars on various business topics.
