Directed Energy signs distribution agreement

FORT COLLINS — Directed Energy Inc., a subsidiary of IXYS Corp. (NASDAQ: SYXI), has signed a distribution agreement with Avnet RF & Microwave, a business division of Avnet Electronics Marketing.

Avnet RF will handle distribution sales for Directed Energy’s line of radio frequency transistors and high-frequency gate drive integrated circuits. The agreement should increase sales for the company. Avnet RF has the ability to allow customers to place smaller orders and Avnet will stock Directed Energy’s products.

Directed Energy is located at 2401 Research Blvd. in Fort Collins and employs 29 people in the area.
