Economy, size slow Loveland’s retail development

LOVELAND — Loveland lies on the cusp somewhere between second-tier community and full-blown big-box country when it comes to retail development.

Developers say that a dicey economy and a slow and costly municipal development process in Loveland will likely curb retail development in the near future.

“It seems to me that most of the retail in Loveland is headed toward the big boxes, and I guess that’s probably true throughout the country,´ said Dan Stroh, owner of Stroh and Co. Realty in Loveland.

Stroh handled property for The Home Depot in Loveland.

However, the city is still viewed by many large retailers…
