Dance festival includes classes, lectures, performances

While we mourn the death of the Colorado Dance Festival, Boulder can still boast state-of-the-art movement Aug. 4-11 at the Aerial Dance Festival 2002.

An internationally known faculty, including Boulder’s own Nancy Smith, founder and artistic director of Frequent Flyers Productions, will hold classes, lectures, demonstrations, discussions and performances.

Stilts, trapeze, ropes and fabric, swings and bungee cords are all part of what is called ?aerial or vertical dance.?

Call now for tickets to the final performance on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9, 10 and 11, at (303) 245-8272.To escape the July heat — and to give your out-of-town guests a memorable dining experience — visit the Gold Hill Inn. This summer, brothers Chris and Brian Finn are celebrating the inn’s 40th season of serving fine, continental cuisine.

Austin singer-songwriter Stephen Fromholz will be in concert July 29.

For reservations, directions or event information call (303) 443-6461.
