WomenGive, a program of United Way of Larimer County, was started in Larimer County in 2006 as an opportunity for women in our community to come together to help other women.

Organized and presented by the Event Marketing Group, the Boulder Adventure is a sister event to the third annual AT&T Wireless Kokopelli Adventure, a two-day stage race and regional qualifier for the U.S. Adventure Racing Association’s national championships, to be held in Grand Junction Sept. 28-29.

Unlike the EcoChallenge and other high-profile adventure races designed to ruthlessly pare down the field, the Boulder Adventure’s emphasis will be on success and fun for individuals of all abilities. To that end, Event Marketing Group has worked with the city and county of Boulder to design a course challenging to weekend warriors and experts alike.

The race will consist of a series of checkpoints throughout the Boulder area, which must be completed by the entire team within time constraints imposed for each stage.

Teams will be made up of three individuals in the coed (any combination of men and women) or open (all men or women) categories, plus a mandatory support person responsible for carrying food, water and transporting team members to and from the event. The day will conclude with an awards ceremony featuring refreshments and festivities.

Portions of Boulder Adventure proceeds will go to the Boulder downtown transportation program. To register, or for further information about the race, visit www.emgcolorado.com/advrace_boulder.html.
