Sprint launches innovation award contest

DENVER – Sprint has launched the Sprint Innovation Award program across the country, including the Denver metro area, for innovative uses of the company’s technology in the business environment.

Prizes for regional and national winners include cash awards and trips to the 2002 Salt Lake City games, the 2002 PGA Championship and a trip to see the Petty Racing Team in Daytona, Fla. In 2002.

Any business that uses at least one Sprint product or service and has 100 employees or less may enter the program. Businesses write in 1,000 words or less how they have been able to enhance their business through the use of Sprint technology.

Companies can enter online at www.sprint.com/innovation. Entries also can be mailed to Sprint Innovation Award, 4700 Belleview, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64112. Entries are due by Nov. 15.

Local judges will select three local winners who will be rewarded with free Sprint products and services and cash prizes. First place wins $2,500 and qualifies for the national competition; second place will earn $1,000; and third place wins $500. First-place winners will compete from nine cities across the United States for national prizes.
