Fort Lupton inventor creates better flashlight

Remember experimenting with electromagnetics in middle-school science class? Pass a magnet through a coil of wire and energy is generated.

Using that basic principle of physics and combining it with modern technology, a Fort Lupton inventor and entrepreneur launched a company with a single product.

Applied Innovative Technologies Inc. makes the NightStar flashlight that doesn’t use batteries or light bulbs and is virtually indestructible.
