Broomfield employment center on hold
Special to The Business ReportBroomfield’s attempt to get its employment assistance center once it becomes a county this fall has been put on hold, according to Karen Beye, Broomfield’s director of Health and Human Services. The state’s Workforce Development Council, which must bring a recommendation on the prospective employment assistance center to Governor Owens before it can be approved, was supposed to have met with Broomfield officials in late May and again in early June. Both meetings were postponed and Beye was not aware of a new date for meeting on the issue.”The council wanted to discuss funding options…
