Cheyenne to take Qwest customer service calls

As many as 150 people could work at a new Qwest customer service center in Cheyenne.

Qwest Communications International Inc. selected Cheyenne as the home of its newest customer service center. Scheduled to open in June, the center will initially employ about 70 people. Qwest officials expect that number to reach 100 to 150 employees as the operation grows.

“The selection of Cheyenne brings together the best of both worlds — growth opportunities and community partnership,´ said Gov. Jim Geringer. “This decision is definitely a win for Wyoming, for Qwest customers and for Qwest.”
