Nominate your company?s innovative product, service for IQ Awards

BOULDER — The Boulder County Business continues to seek nominations for the second annual IQ (Innovation Quotient) Awards.

Open to any Boulder County or Denver/Boulder Corridor company that has a product or service that is innovative and creative, the IQ Awards will pick winners from numerous categories, including Web/Internet, telecom, computer hardware and software, medical products, children’s or recreational product lines and business services. All categories, including non-profits, can make a nomination.

The IQ Awards event will be held during a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24 at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield. This year’s speaker will be Tim Enwall, managing vice president of Gartner Solista, a unit of Gartner Consulting.

“We anticipate another exciting and upbeat event this year,´ said Jerry W. Lewis, co-publisher and editor of The Boulder County Business Report. “There is so much innovation in and around Boulder County, and the IQ Awards is a fun way to give recognition and foster the growth of these entrepreneurial companies.”

Nominations are due by Friday, May 4, 2001.

To nominate a company, fill out the nomination form at the IQ Awards Web site, www.IQawards.com. Or see the nomination form running in current issues of The Boulder County Business Report. A form is on 32A of this issue.

Additional nomination criteria include:

* The product or service must be able to lead to a sustainable business ? one that has good market potential for success.

* The product or service must already be in the marketplace or at least in a testing situation where customers are already using it.
