By Business Report Staff

BOULDER ? The husband-wife radio host team of Larry and Pat Nelson is moving its World Wide Web Radio Show to Boulder’s KWAB-AM 1490 station beginning Sunday, April 8.

After airing for 60 straight weeks each Saturday on Denver’s KTLK, Larry Nelson, who has lived in Boulder since 1984, said he is “transitioning” the show to the Boulder Valley airwaves, but will keep its focus on the Internet and Web companies. The show also is webcast live on the Internet.

In preparation for Republic Services becoming the primary provider of residential recycling, yard trimmings, and trash, residents should now select the best cart size and service schedule for their household needs.

“We’ve found that 30 to 33 percent of our listeners are listening on the Web,” Nelson noted.

The show’s new tagline, Nelson said, will be “Surviving and Thriving on the Internet.” The guest lineup for shows, as well as links to the Convergence Corridor Grassroots Initiative, which Nelson helped organize, can be found at w3w3.com.

The new show will air each Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. Business Report Editor and Co-Publisher Jerry W. Lewis will join the Nelsons on their first show in Boulder; other scheduled guests include Peter Janett, from New Media One, handling Ask the Expert segment; and John Sifonis, director of Internet Business Solutions for Cisco Systems. Sifonis, author of “Net Ready,” has been a regular contributor on previous shows.

“I’m very pleased to have the show as part of our weekend lineup. Larry is an expert in Web technology and his has strong ties to our community,´ said Chuck Lontine, KWAB general manager. “It is our goal to continue to provide listeners in Boulder with useful and meaningful local programming”

Nelson said he’s excited to be bringing his show to the Boulder Valley because there are so many good software and Internet companies operating in the region. “We want to expose as many of these folks as we can,” he said. The show also will take live call-ins as well as e-mails.

Businesses wanting to be on the show can go to w3w3.com, he said, and make a proposal to be on the show.
