Infobank, LatinoBanc.com to connect Latin companies

BROOMFIELD — Infobank Inc., a provider of global B2B (business to business) e-commerce solutions and services for the middle market, and LatinoBanc.com, an online bank for Latino-owned businesses, have created an electronic trading hub dedicated to serving the estimated 1.3 million Latino-owned businesses in the United States.

Latino-B2B will enable Latino businesses nationwide to buy and sell products and services from each other as well as with Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies, aggregating as much as $300 billion in gross sales generated by these companies each year. With Infobank’s InTrade technology, Latino-B2B also intends to expand its reach beyond the United States, creating specific electronic trading hubs for businesses in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico and other Latin American countries.

Infobank Inc.’s InTrade e-commerce software was selected to power Latino-B2B.

Embedded in Infobank’s technology is multilingual and multicurrency functionality, as well as a firm knowledge of cultural and international trading considerations, enabling middle market companies to transact with buyers and suppliers around the globe.

Unlike many other B2B e-hubs, Latino-B2B will neither be buyer- nor seller-centric, instead

providing businesses with a neutral and fair venue in which to conduct trade. Cabello and business

partner Luis Ruiz-Dana intend to debut Latino-B2B for businesses in the U.S. market by the end of the

year and will expand its reach into Latin America in 2001.
