Steakhouse true taste of Southwest

LONGMONT – A whetstone, for all you non-campers out there, is a piece of stone used to sharpen things that need to be sharp, like a steak knife, for example. It’s also the name of a new southwestern restaurant in the Raintree Plaza Hotel on Ken Pratt Boulevard in Longmont.The Whetstone Steakhouse offers the culinary creations of Chef Kevin Atwood in at atmosphere that’s touched with the flavor of water, wood and the influences of the great Southwest. The restaurant opened on June 12.

Christopher Wood is editor and publisher of BizWest, a regional business journal covering Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties.
