Open Space Corps, Mountain Parks

BOULDER -The city’s Open Space Conservation Corps and the Mountain Parks Junior Ranger Program are recruiting young people to fill paid summer positions.

Participants in each department’s program make a five-week commitment to work as trail crew members in either the Open Space or Mountain Parks program. Participants work to improve trails and assist in developing conservation projects while having the opportunity to gain job skills, learn about environmental issues, work closely with a group and invest in a community effort.

Young people ages 14-17 can apply for a position in one of two summer sessions: June 12 – July 14 or July 17 – Aug. 18. Separate applications are required for each department’s program. The deadline is March 31.
