May 17 golf tourney benefits hospital’s Kidlinks program

BOULDER – The Kidlinks Golf Tournament, a scramble tournament with a shotgun start kicks off on Wednesday, May 17 at the Lake Valley Golf Course.

A benefit for Boulder Community Hospital’s Kidlinks program, the tournament will feature two starts at 7:30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. The eighth annual tournament is organized by Downtown Boulder Inc. and the Boulder Flatirons Rotary in partnership with Support Services Inc. and Annuity Investors Life Insurance Co.

Entry fees include tournament clothing, a goody bag, greens fee, a golf cart, range balls, a continental breakfast for first flight participants, courtesy of Page Two, a pizza lunch provided by Old Chicago and Ben and Jerry’s ice cream to top it off. A cocktail party will follow the afternoon flight.

Prizes for both flights will be awarded at every hole and for first, second and third place finishers in the men’s and co-ed categories. A first place prize also will be awarded for the top all-female team.

Flights will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Participants can register for one or both flights. Individual fees are $85, a foursome is $300, hole sponsorship for both flights is $150 and the corporate package is 400. The Kidlinks program works with children of all ages who have special needs in the areas of coordination, speech or language skills, attention deficit disorders, learning disabilities or brain injuries. Last year’s tournament raised more than $7,300 and helped more than 150 children.
