Better Business Bureau’s top 10 business complaints

DENVER – The numbers are in. The Denver/Boulder Better Business Bureau (BBB) has released rankings for the top 10 business inquiries and complaints processed for 1999.
The top 10 are listed according to their rank. Rankings for the previous year are in parentheses. At the top of the list for business inquiries was roofing (3), followed by moving and storage (5), heating and air conditioning (4), mortgages (1), work-at-home promoters (2), automobile repair/service (7), plumbing (12), windows and doors (13) and finally, carpet & upholstery cleaning (9).
The top 10 categories for complaints filed during are, at No.1, television – cable/CATV/satellite (1), mortgages (4), Internet access and service providers (67), automobile dealers – new and used (3), warranties – home and extended service (14), moving and storage services (6), automobile repair/service (5), telephone companies (12), long distance providers (13) and collection agencies/services (8).
