Peter F. Tedstrom of Brown & Tedstrom Inc. has been selected by Worth magazine for the fifth annual survey of the top 250 financial advisers in the country.

Norwest Bank Colorado has named the following officers: Mark J. Gouin, Betsy Jo Gray, Paul C. Han and William R. Streeter as vice presidents; Elizabeth A. Castle, Peggy M. MacKay, Christopher M. Maliff and Jeri Rhodes as assistant vice presidents; Amy Christensen, Staci Lenzen and Neera Verma as new officers.

Jim McClure has joined Heritage Bank Longmont as a loan officer.

 

EDUCATION

 

Carl E. Wieman, a professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder, has been appointed as one of 13 visiting scholars for 1999-2000 by the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

University of Colorado law professor J. Dennis Hynes has been named a Nicholas Rosenbaum Professor of Law. The professorship was endowed by a gift from the estate of Nicholas Rosenbaum and is used to augment faculty salaries to attract and retain outstanding legal scholars.

JVA Inc., based in Boulder, had added Curtis W. Kostecki to its civil engineering design team.

Drexel Barnell & Co., a civil engineering firm with offices in Boulder, has hired Ken Harrison as engineering manager for the firm=s Colorado Springs office. Brooke Thrasher has also joined the firm as marketing coordinator.

eSoft Inc., Broomfield-based developer of Linux-based Internet access solutions for small businesses, has appointed Amy Beth Hansman to chief accounting officer.

Unitime Systems Inc., based in Boulder, has appointed Lisa Milner to strategic alliance manager.

Perkins Coie LLP has named Steven E. Segal partner and Marc H. Grayboyes and Matthew T. O=Leary associates in the firm=s Denver office.

The Boulder Valley Rotary Club has inducted the following board members: Kit Hollingshead of Jewelry Design by Kit Hollingshead as president, Connie Holden of Hospice of Boulder County as president elect and Lisa Sabichi of Indian Peaks Veterinary Clinic, Pete Mahlstedt of Leanin= Tree Inc., and Dick Hedges of Flatiron Park Co. as board members.

The State Board of Agriculture named Edward Bowditch as chief financial officer.

The Boulder County Commisioners appointed James Burrus to the position of public information officer.

The Boulder Chamber has hired Susan Bond as program manager.

Douglas L. Jones of Denver-based Jones Realty Group, has been elected 1999/2000 chairman of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.

The Westin Westminster has named Tiffany R. Melin as business travel sales manager. She will be in charge of individual travel for corporate accounts. Beccy Dreyling has been named sales manager.

Phoenix-based Westcor Partners has appointed Janet Beaudry as marketing director and Jack Landgraf as operations director of FlatIron Crossing, the new mall scheduled to open in Broomfield in August of 2000.

Boulder catering company A Spice of Life has hired Andrea Mack as operations manager, Juls Maxsted as sales assistant and Karen Vines as the office manager.

Frontier Natural Products Co-op, a Boulder provider of natural products, has hired T.J McIntyre as its assistant category marketing manager for packaged spices.

The Etkin Johnson Group, a property management firm based in Denver, appointed Eileen Stembler as an asset manager for Etkin=s newest property, the I-70/270 Business Center and the Market at South Park.

Brad Wallace has joined The Garkie Group of Boulder as director of photography.

American Coin Merchandising Inc., (Nasdaq:AMCN) has appointed Bruce W. Krysiak to the company=s board of directors. Krysiak most recently served as president, chief operating officer and director of Toys R Us Inc.

College Bound Student Alliance Inc., a Denver-based company specializing in college placement, has appointed Jerome M. Lapin to chief executive officer. Most recently Lapin served as president and chairman of the board for American Coin Merchandising Inc.

The Colorado Technical Recruiter=s Network (CTRN) recently named new officers and added three new members. Troy Bettinger was appointed to president, Randall Balthrop to vice president and Debra Gerring to secretary and treasurer. Robert Cushing, Jeff Leavitt and Houston Ward were elected as new board members.
