Training seminar July 15 for disadvantaged’ status
ARVADA — On July 15, the Small Business Administration’s Colorado District Office, in conjunction with the Service Corps of Retired Executives, will host a training seminar intended to educate business owners on the steps necessary in obtaining certification as a federal “Small Disadvantage Business” (SDB).
The training seminar will be held at the Arvada Center, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd. in Arvada. The training will begin at 7 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.
The SDB certification program is an effort to create opportunities for more socially and economically disadvantaged business owners to participate in federal procurements, a $200 billion marketplace. The program is designed to create opportunities for those who have historically been excluded from the federal contracting arena.
