Health-care choices prove numerous for small business

One of the most important decisions small-business owners make regards the provision of health-care benefits for themselves and their employees.

As coverage options broaden, so do the choices of where to obtain that coverage.

“What they need to do is contact an insurance broker who specializes in the area of employee benefits,’ suggested Masoud Shirazi, president of Shirazi & Associates Inc. in Greeley. “A broker is basically an insurance agent licensed or contracted with many different companies. They work on behalf of the client. They are not captive by one company and have a lot more options to present to the employer.’
