The vision for Brighton
BRIGHTON — On the face of it, Brighton˜s vision for its future is simple enough: It wants to be a "satellite community" with its own identity, job opportunities and open space.
But if ever there was a time when those simple goals might get trumped by a huge demand for residential building and the competing interests of sales-tax-rich neighbors such as Commerce City, this is the time.
Luckily for Brighton and its vision, the City Council, city manager and director of community development have a plan that not only looks good on paper but seems to be working.
