James Havener became vice president, business manager of micro products for Sheldahl Inc., headquartered in Northfield, Minn. with operations in Longmont.

U.S. Department of Energy Rocky Flats Manager Jessie Roberson and Kaiser-Hill President Robert Card were named “Top 25 Newsmakers for 1997” by Engineering News-Record Magazine.

Robert Fuerst became general manager of Vector Modular Interconnection Systems LLC, a new joint venture between Molex Inc. of Lisle, Ill. and Sheldahl Inc., headquartered in Northfield, Minn. with operations in Longmont.

NON-PROFIT

The I Have a Dream Foundation of Boulder County elected these officers for 1998: Edie Ortega, U S West, president; Peter D’Jay, vice president; Ron Jung, Jung & Associates, treasurer; and Midge Korczak, secretary.

D.D. Hilke became director of exhibits at the Denver Museum of Natural History.

The Humane Society of Boulder Valley appointed Jackson Galaxy as Community Outreach Manager and Bridgette Chesne as volunteer coordinator. Joe Lavine of Lavine Photography and Robert Phillips of Brauchli-Snyder joined the board of directors.

The Colorado Business Committee for the Arts elected these directors for 1998: Chair, Kathryn Paul, president, Kaiser Permanente; Vice Chair, Margot O’Dell, executive director of human resources, U S West; and treasurer, Jim Vaughn, managing partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP.

The Boulder County Division of the American Cancer Society formed a Community Advisory Council comprised of volunteers serving two year terms, including: John Studholme, chief legal advisor; Mark Kaufman, chief financial advisor; and Debbie Krier, chief marketing advisor. Deputy Mayor William “Will” Toor was named to represent the City of Boulder on the board of directors of the Denver Regional Council of Governments. Councilmember Donald Mock serves as the alternate.

Dan Hesser, president and chief executive officer of Denver-based Invesco Funds Group Inc., will retire at the end of 1998.

OTHER
