More temp agencies move in

FORT COLLINS — Temps are rising.Three more temporary employment agencies have just entered the Fort Collins market, contributing to a competitive environment that already has reached a fevered pitch.
Accountemps and OfficeTeam, divisions of Robert Half International Inc., and CDI Corp. have opened offices in Fort Collins.
Accountemps specializes in temporary and temp-to-hire positions in all levels of accounting and finance, OfficeTeam places temporary and temp-to-hire employees in administrative positions, and CDI provides technical staffing services.
"We˜re here because of the tremendous growth along the Front Range," said Jill Lopez, branch manager for Robert Half International offices in Boulder and Fort Collins. "This is the fifth office we˜ve opened in the region."
Other Front Range locations include Denver, Boulder, Englewood and Colorado Springs, and the company has more than 200 offices nationwide. Accountemps and OfficeTeam have temporary office space downtown but will relocate to 3665 JFK Parkway by month˜s end.
CDI Corporation — Midwest, a division of CDI Corp. out of Philadelphia, is also a nationwide staffing service. The company˜s new Fort Collins office, located at 19 Old Town Square, will focus on engineering and information technology staffing.
Kim MacArthur, Fort Collins branch manager for Western Staff Services, said that although the new companies will compete with Western for employee and employer clients, there˜s room for everyone coming into the market.
"They˜re coming here because this area is growing so much and so fast," she said. "But that˜s not a bad thing, because competition is healthy, and everyone has their own niche."
