Factual Data buys Loveland franchise

LOVELAND — Factual Data Corp., in a move toward a more aggressive corporate strategy, has repurchased its Loveland franchise.
The transaction was completed in December, said Robb Copp, the corporation˜s public-relations director.
Factual Data, a credit-reporting agency that also has an employee-screening operation, originally sold the Loveland franchise about 12 years ago. The repurchase reflects a new corporate acquisition strategy that will include buying credit-reporting agencies and employee-screening companies, as well as repurchasing several of its own franchises throughout the country, Copp said.
The corporation has 53 locations across the continental United States, including three in Colorado (Loveland, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins) and three in Wyoming (Cheyenne, Casper and Rawlins), with headquarters in Fort Collins. The Loveland Factual Data franchise held 60 percent to 75 percent of regional market share.
Factual Data will consolidate its two Northern Colorado locations in the new Factual Data Corp. Bldg. in Loveland˜s Rocky Mountain Village Business Park. Corporate offices will move in early April, with production in both loan-processing and employee-screening divisions moving soon thereafter.
Besides putting all local operations under one roof, the move to Loveland will allow Factual Data to recruit employees from Greeley and Longmont, as well as Loveland and Fort Collins, Copp said.
Also in the works are plans to begin a tenant-screening service for landlords.
