StaffMark to open in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS — StaffMark Staffing Services will open a new office in Fort Collins before year˜s end, heightening competition among the city˜s temporary-employment agencies. The company, formerly known as On Call Staffing Services, will choose among three possible locations in the next few weeks and open its doors for business by mid-December, said Jan Haire. Haire serves as business development manager in the company˜s Loveland office and will manage the Fort Collins location.
"StaffMark has been very successful at focusing on niche markets," Haire said. "The focus for the new office will be clerical and administrative positions. We plan to install new software, upscale our testing process, and while we˜ll continue to place entry-level workers, we˜ll elevate the candidate base to include executive-level assistants as well."
Haire said that StaffMark has done business in Loveland for 19 years, placing primarily manufacturing and industrial workers.
"We˜ve served Fort Collins for years from Loveland, so it˜s a logical place for us to be," she said. "A lot of our current customers will roll over to the new office, and we˜ll add new ones."
News of StaffMark˜s move into the area doesn˜t concern Beth Mason, owner of the Northern Colorado and Boulder County franchise of Olsten Staffing Services.
"The Northern Colorado business climate is extremely exciting and challenging, and we˜re in a particularly high-profile industry because our services are in such demand," Mason said. "There is a great demand for technically inclined people with the increase of technical companies, but those companies need administrative, clerical and accounting help as well."
