Law partner moves a few doors down to Dow firm

Call this a legal brief. The Eye, ever vigilant in its observations of the Northern Front Range business community, offers this tidbit of information arising from the legal profession.
There he joins The Dow Law Firm LLC, where he will be of counsel and continue to emphasize general civil and personal-injury litigation, alternative dispute resolution and construction law.
The Dow Law Firm was formed in April when Tim Dow left what was then Sommermeyer, Wick, Dow & Campbell LLC. Dow focuses on general corporate law, water law and real estate. Partner and wife Patty Dow specializes in tax and estate law.
Now, the law firm in Suite 3 is called Wick, Campbell, Bramer, Ukasick & Trautwein LLC.
Robin Wick, managing partner there, said two new associates have been added, Kimberly Schutt and Julie Klaus. The firm will continue to heavily emphasize litigation.
He also says the partners are done moving down to Suite 7.n n nThe all-knowing Eye has detected another fringe benefit of StarTek Inc.˜s decision to add a third building in Greeley. Not too long ago, the company, formerly known as Starpak, decided to build a separate facility in Aurora.
This past June, when StarTek filed an initial public offering with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, the company listed its corporate headquarters as 111 Havana St. in Denver. Recent reports have been somewhat confusing on the matter of exactly where the company is based, however. StarTek has corporate offices at the Havana Street address, which is actually in Aurora, president and CEO Michael Morgan has an office in Greeley and company chairman A. Emmet Stephenson is in Denver.
To top it all off, StarTek is keeping its Starpak name in Greeley, at least for the time being.
Morgan tells The Eye that the company had considered leaving Greeley but Greeley and Weld County officials convinced him otherwise. Could be related to the nice incentive package that StarTek received to build its new facility there.
StarTek˜s public status means that Northern Colorado will have 11 publicly traded companies. Others include Advanced Energy Industries Inc., Applied Computer Technology Inc., Atrix Laboratories Inc., Avert Inc., Concepts Direct Inc., EFTC Corp., Hach Co., Heska Corp., StarTek Inc. and Voice It Worldwide Inc. Applied Films Corp. of Boulder is moving to Weld County and has filed an IPO.
n n nNavidec Inc. of Englewood clued The Eye in to a recent "CyberShopper Survey" conducted by the company. The national, random survey of 1,001 respondents detected several trends arising from the advent of the Internet. Among the findings:
n 59 percent of Internet users are spending less time watching television or videos.
n 24 percent are doing fewer household chores.
n 20 percent are making fewer long-distance calls.
n 16 percent are spending less time catching up on work.
n 14 percent are not exercising as much.
n 12 percent are spending less time with family and friends.
