Schroll Cabinets adds space, eyes Boulder site

CHEYENNE — Schroll Cabinets Inc. is opening new doors.

For almost 25 years, the company has provided cabinets for upper-end homes and offices all along the Front Range and boasts showrooms in Cheyenne, Fort Collins, Denver and Colorado Springs. Now, production demands are forcing the company to add a showroom in Boulder and to expand its main facility in Cheyenne.

Schroll rotates work between two shifts — one from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the other from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. To avoid adding a third shift, Schroll will expand its Cheyenne facility at 821 Bradley Ave.

About 7,000 square feet of land – to be used for warehousing — has been purchased across from the company’s current location. Construction should be completed by next month in phase one of the company’s expansion.

Phase two includes developing 8,000 square feet of land, while phase three involves 10,000 square feet. These two properties will be used for cabinet production and will be completed within the next 36 months. A fifth showroom is tentatively planned for Boulder.

Employment at Schroll will increase by 25 to 50 people, Schroll said. The company now employs about 100 people. Revenues, now between $5 million and $7.5 million, should increase by 20 percent.
