Xerox will bring call center, 700 jobs to Greeley

GREELEY – Xerox is leasing 88,000 square feet in Greeley to open a call center that will ultimately employ 700 people, the company said Tuesday.

The facility, located at 244 Dundee Ave., will begin operations July 2. Approximately 350 of the new positions will become permanent, year-round jobs, while the remainder will be project-based and wind down sometime in the first quarter of 2013.

The call center will provide customer service on behalf of a Xerox client. Xerox already employs a total of 1,900 in Colorado.

The location of the call center will contribute “million of dollars in payroll impact that will create a positive impression on the economy of Greeley and Northern Colorado,´ said Greeley Mayor Tom Norton.

Xerox’s move in Greeley was lauded by Gov. John Hickenlooper.

“Thousands of companies rely on Xerox’s business process and information technology services every day,” he said in a statement. “Xerox’s decision to expand and create jobs in Colorado is great news and shows the strength of our world-class workforce.”

Connecticut-based Xerox has been providing call center outsourcing services for more than 20 years and has 150 call centers worldwide.

Applicants can apply for the jobs at the Greeley facility online or at the call center through the end of 2012.
