Windermere selects site for first office in Colorado

FORT COLLINS — Windermere Services Co., a regional residential real estate brokerage based in Seattle, will open its first office in Colorado at 400 E. Horsetooth Road in Fort Collins during the first week of December.

In September, Eric Thompson, former president of The Group Inc. in Fort Collins, was named president of Windermere Real Estate in Colorado.

Thompson announced Tuesday that Windermere leased approximately 5,500 square feet east of the intersection of Horsetooth and College Avenue near the Foothills Mall. Windermere’s suite is located on the first floor.

“The space is perfect,” Thompson said. “It’s everything we dreamed of. I scoured Fort Collins looking for the ideal office for us, and I really feel like I found it. It is centrally located, has a ton of parking, has great visibility on Horsetooth and was beautifully remodeled just a couple years ago.” Thompson said the company should benefit from the energy created by the mall when redevelopment is completed.

Windermere has more than 7,000 agents in 11 states, and plans to grow in key markets in Colorado.

“The Fort Collins office is our Colorado headquarters and will set the standard for everything we do in the state,” Thompson said.
