WilMarc Medical moving forward on new Fort Collins manufacturing facility

FORT COLLINS — WilMarc Medical LLC is moving forward with plans to build an approximately 93,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in the Harmony Technology Park in Fort Collins.

WilMarc Medical was founded in 2014 in Fort Collins by William Coulson and Marcia Coulson to manufacture medical devices made with “green” materials. Marcia Coulson is also the owner and president of Denver-based Eldon James Corp., a manufacturer of components for medical equipment.

The Coulsons, using the name Eldon James Corp., submitted conceptual plans in March to the city of Fort Collins for the project. Using the name WilMarc Medical, a more formal development plan was submitted Oct. 12.

Coulson said on Thursday that WilMarc Medical is not affiliated with Eldon James, which will continue to operate in Denver.

Once completed, the new facility at the northeast corner of Technology Parkway and Precision Drive will house WilMarc Medical that currently works out of two locations in Fort Collins — 224 Canyon Ave., and 5042 Technology Parkway.

Coulson said WilMarc Medical employs 10 people, but it will ramp up to a yet determined number of workers once the building is operational. The proposed buildings include 13,992 square feet of office space and 78,883 square feet of industrial space, according to planning documents.

WilMarc Medical designs, manufactures and markets disposable medical devices with a focus on anesthesia and respiratory products. The products are made with materials free of polyvinyl chloride and phthalate, both of which have been linked to health concerns. The company claims the products are environmentally safe when disposed.
