Western Union settles federal fraud case for $586M
A federal case against The Western Union Co. alleging wire fraud and other charges has been settled.
The Denver Business Journal reports that the Douglas County-based company has agreed to pay $586 million to settle the charges as part of a deferred prosecution agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice. The company also reached agreement with the Federal Trade Commission over civil charges.
