Empowering communities

Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), part of the UnitedHealthcare family, has pledged its commitment to uplift these communities through substantial investments in organizations addressing the distinct needs of our communities.

“This is truly a celebration for us and the beginning of a new era of community banking in Northern Colorado,” said Craig Ockers, chairman of the Western States Bank’s board of directors. “Our new brand, enhanced e-banking services and the synergy that has come with the new Western States Bank are representative of the great things to come.”

In January, Western States Bank launched the website WSB.bank, one of the first banks to register a .bank domain, which is said to provide more security than a .com address.

A new online banking system has been integrated into the WSB.bank website and offers customers access to PopMoney, which allows customers to securely send or receive money using a mobile phone number or email. Western States Bank is also launching a new bill-pay system for its business customers.

Western States Bank is working to bring chip-based debit cards, CardValet, Apple Pay, Android Pay and instant issue debit cards to customers, the company said in a prepared statement.
