Wells Fargo’s 2012 community grants and volunteerism

Wells Fargo invested $4.3 million in Colorado nonprofits in 2012 Team member volunteer hours top 28,000 DENVER, March 15, 2013– Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) announced today that it invested $4.3 million in 1,200 nonprofits in Colorado in 2012, totaling nearly $12,000 in daily giving to local nonprofit organizations. In addition, Wells Fargo team members contributed more than $1.3 million and 28,000 volunteer hours to help their neighborhoods and communities succeed. “In communities across Colorado, there are people who have been affected by our current economic challenges and the devastating wildfires that hit our state hard last summer,” said Nathan Christian, Wells Fargo’s regional president for Colorado. “In those same communities, Wells Fargo is meeting the challenge of bringing local solutions to local needs, and I am proud of how our company and our team members have helped make a difference with contributions of time and money.” To assist Colorado wildfire victims, Wells Fargo contributed $100,000 to the American Red Cross and enabled customers to quickly and easily make a donation through more than 265 ATMs across the state. Wells Fargo team members also volunteered at shelters in several impacted communities. In addition to the American Red Cross, following are a few of the organizations that received a Wells Fargo grant in 2012: • Alzheimer’s Association • American Cancer Society (Colorado Chapter) • Boys & Girls Clubs (Colorado Alliance) • Children’s Health Foundation • Colorado Housing Assistance Corporation • Colorado Statewide Parent Coalition • Community Shares of Colorado • Denver Museum of Nature and Science • Food Bank of the Rockies • Habitat for Humanity • Volunteers of America Nationally, Wells Fargo invested $315.8 million in 19,500 nonprofits in 2012. In addition, Wells Fargo team members contributed more than $60.5 million and 1.5 million volunteer hours to 25,000 nonprofits and schools.
