Wells Fargo tops region in market share based on deposits

Wells Fargo Bank commands the lead in market share based on deposits among FDIC institutions in the region made up of Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties, according to a report released Monday by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

In the four counties, Wells Fargo led 49 institutions with a market share of 21.6 percent based on $3.9 billion in deposits on June 30, the day on which the FDIC bases its annual report. Wells Fargo has 30 offices in the region.

JPMorgan Chase Bank was second at 12.4 percent with $2.3 billion in deposits, followed by First National Bank of Omaha with a market share of 11.5 percent and $2.2 billion in deposits. JPMorgan Chase has 33 offices in the region, and First National Bank has 25 as of June 30, according to the report.

First National led Larimer County’s 29 institutions with a market share of 22 percent with $1.4 billion in deposits, followed by Wells Fargo, 16.7 percent; and The Home State Bank, 10.3 percent.

 

Bank of Colorado led Weld County’s 24 institutions with a market share of 16.2 percent on $532.3 million in deposits, followed by FirstBank, 14.9 percent; and U.S. Bank, 11.9 percent.

 

Wells Fargo led the Boulder County market’s 32 institutions with a market share of 26.3 percent on $2 billion in deposits, followed by JPMorgan Chase, 18.5 percent; and FirstBank, 14 percent.

 

Wells Fargo led Broomfield County’s 13 institutions with a 36.6 percent market share on $397 million in deposits, followed by First Bank, 14.9 percent; and U.S. Bank, 11.9 percent.
