The event set an attendance record with nearly 400 people joining in a live and silent auction featuring more than 200 items to raise funding for Promises for Children programs.
Promises for Children seeks to improve the well-being of Weld County children from pre-birth to eight years of age to promote school readiness as well as success later on. The program offers services for expecting parents, child-care providers, childhood educators, employee child-care programs, low-income child-care supplies and counseling.
Several northern Colorado businesses sponsored the event.
An online auction benefiting Promises for Children will take place until May 4. Items include gift certificates to local restaurants and attractions as well as trips to Alaska, Las Vegas, Chicago, Country Music Awards and Costa Rica.
