Weld County nonprofits to receive $110K in funding

GREELEY – Several Weld County nonprofits will receive late holiday gifts in the form of funding through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program, a government program overseen by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

More than $110,187 will be distributed to 11 different nonprofits in Weld County.

All of the organizations will use the funds to meet emergency needs of residents of Weld County.

“The Emergency Food and Shelter Program is an important part of the short-term assistance pciture that can help individuals and families move from dependency to self-sufficiency, said Lyle Smith Graybeal, vice president of Community Impact for the United Way of Weld County.

Those nonprofits receiving funds are: A Woman’s Place, Catholic Charities Guadalupe Community Center, Connections for Independent Living, Faith Community Service Fund, Fort Lupton Food and Clothing Bank, Greeley Transitional House, Lutheran Family Services, New Horizons Christian Church, Stepping Stones of Windsor, United Way of Weld County and Weld Food Bank.
