Warehouse Business Accelerator in Loveland lands $130,000 grant

LOVELAND — The nonprofit Warehouse Business Accelerator in Loveland announced Thursday it has received a grant of approximately $130,000 from the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado to defray costs.

The foundation distributed the grant from the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corp.’s Loveland Fund. The fund was established at the Community Foundation in 2007 with cash and water rights that the Loveland Development Fund raised more than a decade ago. The cash and water rights were designated for nonprofits dedicated to economic development in Loveland.

The accelerator provides Stage 2 companies access to expert advice, capital, supply-chain partners, research resources, market connections, and physical resources for the purpose of accelerating their revenue growth, scale-up and growth of primary jobs.

Kelly Peters, former vice president of the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corp., became the accelerator’s executive director April 1.

The accelerator was co-founded in November 2013 by Jay Dokter and Dan Kamrath.
