Walgreens named as tenant for former University Hill bookstore site
The former site of the Colorado Bookstore at 1111 Broadway on Boulder’s University Hill will soon become a Walgreens.
The Daily Camera reports that the national drugstore chain is identified on building permits filed with the city as the new tenant for the building. The 15,927-square-foot space has been empty since the bookstore closed in May.
The building sits at the corner of Broadway and College Avenue across the street from the former site of Jones Drug, which eventually became Jones General Store before being torn down and redeveloped into a mixed-use building that includes retail space on the ground floor and student housing above.
