Village Inn returning to Longmont at former Twin Peaks Mall site

LONGMONT — Village at the Peaks is getting a Village Inn.

A design review application has been submitted by Village Inn parent company American Blue Ribbon Holdings for a 4,441-square-foot standalone restaurant as part of the redevelopment of the former Twin Peaks Mall site.

The restaurant will sit on one of the planned pad sites along Hover Street just south of Guaranty Bank. Plans show a seating capacity of 156 diners, with 77 parking spaces.

Village Inn is the latest tenant to come to light at Village at the Peaks, a $90 million, 490,000-square-foot shopping center slated to open this fall. Allen Ginsborg, principal of developer NewMark Merrill Mountain States, said Thursday that he’s hoping to announce another three or four tenants in the coming weeks.

Ginsborg said his company has Village at the Peaks roughly 80 percent leased. Anchors include Whole Foods, a Regal Cinemas movie theater, Sam’s Club, Sports Authority, Wyatt’s Wine & Spirits and Gold’s Gym. Other tenants that have been announced include Chuck & Don’s Pet Food and Supplies, Party City, Parry’s Pizza, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, The Melt, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Visionworks, Supercuts, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Luxury Nails and Spa, and Pacific Dental.

Longmont has been without a Village Inn since late 2012 when the location at 623 Ken Pratt Blvd. closed. That restaurant was replaced by Goodfella’s Restaurant and Bakery.
