Vail Resorts hikes minimum wage at its properties to $10 per hour
Broomfield-based Vail Resorts Inc. (NYSE: MTN) announced that it is increasing the minimum wage at its resorts to $10 per hour beginning in September.
The Denver Post reports that the company, which operates the ski resorts of Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone and Breckenridge in Colorado, will also raise that minimum wage each year based on inflation.
Colorado’s minimum wage is $8.23 per hour. But the Post reports that Vail is also beating the minimum wage in other states where it operates like Utah ($7.25), Wyoming ($7.25) and California ($9).
