Upslope expanding operations in Boulder with brewpub in S’Park

BOULDER — Upslope Brewing Co. announced Friday it plans to build an 11,000-square-foot brewpub in the S’Park development at 34th Street and Valmont Road in Boulder.

The brewpub, scheduled for completion in fall 2017, will house Upslope’s experimental brewing and barrel-aging operations, and a full-service restaurant with a mezzanine and patio.

“The innovation emerging from our Lee Hill brewery has never been more important than it is today and has become essential to stay relevant in today’s quickly evolving craft-beer industry,” Upslope’s founder Matt Cutter said in a prepared statement.

The brewpub will be in the Markt building, part of the S’Park project being developed by Boulder-based Element Properties. S’Park is in central Boulder, just north of Boulder Junction.

Upslope first opened its doors in November 2008 with two beer styles at its current location, 1501 Lee Hill Road. The existing Lee Hill tap room and experimental brewing facility will remain in operation until the completion of the new facility.

Upslope’s 27,000-square-foot brewery that includes a 2,300-square-foot tap room at 1898 S. Flatiron Court in Flatiron Park will remain open.
