UNC Fall Commencement Ceremonies Set for Dec. 14-15

The University of Northern Colorado will host fall graduation ceremonies Friday, Dec. 14, and Saturday, Dec. 15, in Butler-Hancock Hall, south of the intersection of 14th Avenue and 20th Street. The Graduate School ceremony will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14. About 200 candidates are scheduled to receive their master’s, doctoral and specialist degrees. The featured speaker will be UNC professor emerita of Visual Arts Lydia Ruyle, a world-renowned artist and author who continues to create and exhibit her art, host workshops and speak at national and international conferences. She earned her master’s degree from UNC. About 580 undergraduates are scheduled to receive their degrees during two ceremonies in Butler-Hancock Hall on Saturday, Dec. 15. The ceremony for the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and University College will be at 9 a.m. The ceremony for the Monfort College of Business, College of Natural and Health Sciences, and College of Performing and Visual Arts will be at 12:30 p.m. The featured speaker for both ceremonies will be UNC alumnus Tim Jorstad, a nationally recognized financial accountant and business manager whose high-profile clients include Carlos Santana, the Grateful Dead, Journey and the Doobie Brothers.
