UCHealth pulls permit for work on new Boulder medical clinic

BOULDER — University of Colorado Health has pulled a building permit to begin work on a medical clinic in an existing building at the northwest corner of 55th Street and Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder.

The permit, issued by the city of Boulder, is for the first phase of a two-phase tenant improvement at 5495 Arapahoe Ave., for the UCHealth Boulder Health Center. The building also is home to Premier Members Credit Union and several tenants occupying smaller spaces.

UCHealth’s tenant improvements to 6,600 square feet of space will create a multispecialty medical practice that will include family medicine, opthalmalogy, audiology, physical therapy, retail pharmacy, addiction counseling, physical therapy and imaging services.

UCHealth spokesman Dan Weaver said Tuesday in a email that the clinic will open this spring or summer.

“Many of these services are already available at different locations in the Boulder community,” Weaver said. “By moving these services to a single location, we will be better able to serve our patients and make the care we provide as convenient as possible.”

Englewood-based Fransen Pittman Construction Co. applied for the permit.
