Two Colorado banks merge to form Northstar Bank Colorado

The Bank at Broadmoor and Colorado Community Bank will come together on Aug. 12 to form a new institution called Northstar Bank Colorado.

Northstar Bank Colorado will have 20 locations throughout Colorado, including branches in Loveland, Greeley, Evans, Johnstown, Milliken, Longmont and Firestone.,
The bank holds assets of $750 million and has hired 33 new employees since January, bringing the total number of employees to 170.

More than $100 million has been invested in Colorado to complete the merger, according to a company release, including the renovation of a branch in Yuma and the construction of a building in downtown Colorado Springs.

The Bank at Broadmoor was headquartered in Colorado Springs, while Colorado Community Bank has historically been headquartered in Yuma.

The bank’s CEO is located in Denver, the COO in Greeley and president in Colorado Springs, but the bank’s headquarters will be located in Highlands Ranch.
