The Mountain Shop to close

FORT COLLINS – The Mountain Shop, located in Old Town Fort Collins, will close its doors permanently in the coming weeks.

Store owners Heather and Michael McKelligott said in a note to customers that they would close the shop because of the difficult economic climate. The McKelligotts purchased the store four years ago.

The store originally opened in 1971 at 632 Mason St. and remained there until the McKelligotts purchased the shop from its owners, Dan and Matt Evans, and relocated it.
