Texas-based Patterson-UTI Drilling Co. has settled with the U.S.Equal Employment Opportunity Commission a nearly nine-year-long discrimination case for $14.5 million, the Denver Post reports.
Patterson-UTI drill rigs in Colorado, South Dakota and Louisiana engaged in a nationwide pattern of discrimination and harassment based on race and national origin, according to the EEOC.
