Terzotis, Peterson to lead United Way fundraising campaign

United Way of Larimer County said Tuesday that Coloradoan President and Publisher Judi Terzotis and Peterson Energy Vice President Suzanne Peterson will serve as campaign co-chairs for the nonprofit’s upcoming annual fundraiser.

Campaign co-chairs are top business leaders who support United Way’s fundraising efforts. Terzotis and Peterson have been involved with United Way through employee-giving campaigns in their workplaces, Coloradoan Media Group and Peterson Energy, respectively.

“My husband and I give because we know that one gift to United Way touches thousands of lives in our community,” said Peterson, who lives and works in Loveland. “We have been blessed, and it always feels better when it’s shared with others.”

Terzotis said she felt “fortunate to live in a progressive, vibrant community. However, there are many residents in our community that need our help.”

Peterson and Terzotis will begin their work this month to recruit new businesses and organizations for the campaign. Results are still being tabulated for the 2012 United Way community campaign.
